What’s the lifespan of a Coldwave? 2016-10-31T15:41:53+00:00

Our testing shows that unless you break it then there’s no reason it can’t last for a long long time with no degradation in performance.

Can I store it nested with the pitcher in the freezer? 2016-10-31T15:45:26+00:00

Sure. It will just take longer to refreeze and just be sure to dry the pitcher first.

Does the Coldwave come with a warranty? 2016-10-31T15:52:14+00:00

All Coldwaves come with a 30-day money back guarantee. You just need to cover the shipping costs.

How do I know the Coldwave will work? 2017-02-22T08:39:59+00:00

We know there’s a lot of junk on the market, but the Coldwave has been thoroughly tested by MIT Students, 3rd party laboratories, and a beta-user group to ensure that all Coldwave performance claims are backed up by real results.

It should make this sound:

How long can I leave my Coldwave out before it doesn’t work anymore? 2016-04-24T15:34:59+00:00

The Coldwave’s cooling ability diminishes with time. After the first 10 minutes, there is no noticeable effect. After about 4 hours, the cooling capacity is basically gone.

How many times can I use the Coldwave before it needs to be refrozen? 2016-10-25T10:26:07+00:00

It all depends on the incoming beverage temperature, so use these guidelines:

Hot (Coffee, Tea): Two 16 oz. coolings

Warm (Wine, Beer, Spirits, Soda): Eight 16 oz. coolings

Can I use the Coldwave to cool soda? 2016-10-25T10:41:00+00:00

YES! For best results, chill 16 oz. of cold water for 10 sec. to take the initial cooling off the Coldwave (if the insert is coming straight from the freezer). You will lose some carbonation, similar to a frosty mug so pour gently.

Can I use the Coldwave to cool beer? 2016-10-25T10:41:29+00:00

YES! For best results, chill 16 oz. of cold water for 10 sec. to take the initial cooling off the Coldwave (if the insert is coming straight from the freezer). You will lose some carbonation, similar to a frosty mug so pour gently.

Does it have to be stored upright? 2016-04-28T18:43:59+00:00

We recommend storing the Coldwave Insert upright to get the best possible cooling performance. If you’re not able to store the Coldwave upright, don’t worry it’ll still work really well, but will just take a little longer to make your beverages ice cold.

Can I drink straight from the Coldwave? 2016-10-31T12:49:04+00:00

Sure, go for it, but it’s probably more comfortable to drink out of the appropriate cup, glass, or mug for your beverage.

Do I ever have to change out the water sealed inside the Coldwave? 2016-04-22T14:42:29+00:00
Nope, just let it do its thing.
How will I know when my beverage is cold? 2016-10-31T16:03:28+00:00

Touch the side of the pitcher to feel coldness level or wait at least 90 seconds and it is guaranteed to be cold.

Can the starting temperature of the beverage be too hot? 2016-04-24T15:48:30+00:00

The starting temperature should not exceed 212 F, the boiling point of water/coffee/tea.

Will my beverage freeze if I forget to pour out my beverage after the recommended cooling time? 2016-04-24T15:50:13+00:00

No, it’ll just be really really cold. It will be like grabbing a can that was sitting in an ice filled cooler for hours. You’re welcome.

Is it easy to clean? 2016-10-31T16:11:22+00:00

Yes! We recommend rinsing the Coldwave out right after use, to save yourself the refreeze time. Alternatively, if you want a more thorough clean, the Coldwave is 100% dishwasher safe (top shelf just like plastic container-ware).

What liquid is sealed inside the Coldwave? 2016-04-22T14:28:45+00:00

We seal 100% safe purified water inside the Coldwave.

Is the plastic BPA free? 2016-04-24T15:54:38+00:00

Yes, the plastic we use is BPA free and is the same kind that’s found in ice cube trays and babies’ bottles.
